Has anyone seen any proper black friday deals? I am talking 60/70/80% off from the original price.

I saw a TV we bought a month ago selling for... You guessed it same price but listed as a black friday special with a mega misleading discount of R3 000 off the original price. Same store (DionWired). So my question is simple, anyone on here see something that was a true deal or are we all going to just act the fool and pretend like these are real black friday deals?

I'm living in the UK, looking for a good deal on a laptop - there is nothing.

All of the "deals" are not deals at all. Amazon is especially guilty of this. Its disappointing.

Dell UK actually has some decent deals surprisingly.

and never will, its all a smokescreen to get bigger sales in, before christmas
case in point the rain 5g deal, yes, free modem, but 24 month contract.

for some its a good deal, for others, 1K a month for 24 months?
thats 24 K over 2 years, for free internet and a router?

dont know if it the best deal out there, even if its portable and all of that.

I have actually seen something being 300 bucks more expensive on a black friday deal than 3 weeks ago when I was in the shop

Mall of Africa has some shops opening at midnight - there is nothing special but might just pop in to see people running around buying crap at so called discounts

totally agree
take Banggood.com for example

They promote stuff every hour for the week

Like this for example, sure its only 5 pieces in total, but what a bargain for those 5 people to grap cheap stuff

Pity RSA online shops dont do this

I saw this one. Actually does not make sense to go for this.

This can never be businesses in SA.

I bought a fitbit inspire HR for R1400, normal price is R2000 at least thats the price I have been seeing for the last 6 months.
Thats 30% off, so not exactly big deal but it was fairly good

At the first black Friday sale in SA my friend bought a R12 000 big very big flat screen TV for R7000. All she subsequent black Friday deals after that was pretty crappy.
