Hi,

I'm new to the drone scene and wondered about the experience you folks have had with local dji drone suppliers.

i'm looking online at droneworld, bestdrone, ormsdirect, actiongear.

quality, price, service, warranty, etc. typical consumer concerns.

I would be grateful for any feedback. :D

Thank you.

Have a look at flyingrobot.co (based in Cape Town) - they are a great bunch of people. Usually catering for the quad/drone racing crowd - but I see they have some DJI specials (https://flyingrobot.co/collections/dji ) I have no clue how they stack up (price wise on DJI stuff) - but only have good things to say about their service and helpfulness.

Thanks Digilus. Will have a look

I got my Mavic pro from Actiongear. After a couple of months the gimbal stopped working and i sent it to them to be fixed under warranty. They had to send all the diagnostics to DJI before they would fix it to ensure that it was not in a crash, which took almost 3 weeks. They had access to all my flight records and could have easily verified themselves that it was not in a crash. A few weeks later the one stick on the remote stopped working and they replaced that immediately. Except for the long delay to sort out the gimbal, they actually gave me a new drone, I am quite happy with their service.

Its probably DJI who will not accept them saying "we analyzed flight data and it didnt crash" - DJI probably doesnt trust anyone so they want to assess it themselves. Bit of a problem it creates for the retailers who sell their stuff.
