Heres something completely silly yet, somehow, deep and thought provoking:

I wanna get a PSP, so which is better: the back or the white one? I'm sure someones got an opinion on this matter.

Also I'd like to know if its really such a bomb buying 1 with the new firmware.
I'm stoked about the web browsing and would like to play my mpg. music video files saved on my pc. Is that possible?

the white...IMHO, its more expensive and supplosedly has better parts/harware than the black one.

Black or white? Hhmm, The lowdown is that it is exactly the same components inside, only the casing differs, and here is the snag: The white one is Japanese, and the black one is "Rest-of-world" ... If something does go wrong, you are going to have serious k@k with the guarantee if you buy a white one.

Pop over to http://community.yourpsp.com and see what the guys over there have to say.

rather get an ipod video for movies and things was just wondering round musica the other day and saw a psp game and wondered how much it was.... R500. F that.

As far as I'm concerned the White one looks much cooler, but I have to agree with Landyman, the k@k you'll get with guarentees and warranties if anythign goes wrong is probably just not worth it. Last place to look for PSP or in fact any type of console games is Musica. You're much better off buying at take2.co.za.

i was in reggies and they had both white and black psp giga pack, but you mean to say that the white one wont have the same warranty or garantee or watever if it decides to stop working?

Sorry, I forgot about this thread :D
I find it strange that you can get the white one at a retailer like Reggies. If they sell it, it shouldn't be a problem. If it is distributed by Ster Kinekor, it should be covered by the same warranty.

Ok, I now have a white psp bought from Reggies but i realise now that these are indeed only meant for Japan cause on the box it actually says "For sale in japan only".
Its works great but now i've run into a snag:
I Tried registering on the south african psp website but it wont let me cause you have to give the model number and serial number and my serial number is obviously a jap 1 and theres no option for it in the pull-down menu.

Any1 had this Problem? am i getting skrewed outta something worthwhile by not being able to register?

Wats the SA psp site???

I got a white one, in november last year, white is definately kick ass.

Well i guess i sorted out the registration problem. I went on to the site "teampsp.co.uk" and they have a solution which involves just changing the serial number a bit and registering it as a psp1003 model. It accepted it and i guess i'll wait now to see if my free gift makes it to me.

The website is just www.psp.com and u select your country.

i recommend any1 go to the yourpsp.com forum for info on pretty much anything u can think of.
