Hi Gents, do any of the blackberries have Hdmi out functionality? I'm a bb noob. :)

Thanks
Craig

As mentioned by CranialBlaze the Playbook does support HDMI out. I don't yet have the connector to do that, but I reckon they'll have the connector in SA soon when Playbook officially launches here.

Actually, it uses MICRO HDMI...I got one, looks damn sweet too.

Yes, the Playbook does. No other BB uses HDMI. Not even the newer models to come.

@peeryus: I can't even remember if I used my N8's HDMI since I got it. I dont' really see the point in using it. Except for the times you want to watch a movie on a HDTV. But then again, what is the use of copying a 8GB mkv file to your phone.

When are they going to release it in SA...Vodafone in the UK has it on their Network, so its not much of a stretch for them to release it here (They own the majority share of Vodacom) maybe I am oversimplifying the whole process but it seems pretty easy to me.

Something seems to be holding it up, was supposed to be June, then pushed to July, then pushed to August, rite now who knows, my friends working for vodacom have resorted to f knows.
What i can tell you is MTN is planning on launching it with 2Gb and unlimited bundles, i assume it includes an assistant to follow you around with a wifi hotspot as the unit does no actually support sim cards.
