I am wanting to set my blackberry up as a modem on my mac. I am on Mac OS 10.5.8, and I have a blackberry 8310 with with the BB 4.5 OS, and I am on the vodacom network

Can you guys please assists me on setting up my blackberry as a tethered modem on my Mac?

Do I need to use bluetooth, or can I use it via USB as a tethered modem?

Do a search on the Blackberry worldwide website. There's detailed instructions there to set up bluetooth and USB tethering. Fairly simple to do on a Mac.

Can give you the internet settings if you on Vodacom. Not sure about MTN.

I set up both connections, but tend to use bluetooth more often. Also consider a data bundle, as BIS can't be used to tether.

Speeds seem fairly fast on Vodacom. Post back here if you have any problems and I'll try to help.

PS: I'm on Leopard with a Bold 9700.

please can you give me the settings for this for Vodacom.

I had tried but am having no luck. I have downloaded the modem scripts, and used the *99# and *99***# numbers. But none work. I have phoned Vodacom 3 times, and they have sent me the documentation, and I can stillnot come right
