Hi

Is anyone using this phone and are able to send/recieve MMS's. I tried to help my dad set up his phone and just could not find anyway to get it to work. Are there any special settings/downloads that are needed to get this to work.

I see that in the UK this is also an issue Link.

Is this an issue in SA as well.

What provider are you with? They can usually can help you setting up MMS settings.

Vodacom via Nashua. Neither of them could get it going. Nashua usually go to my Dads office on a regular basis and they couldnt get it to work. I havent spoken to them myself personally. I can usually get these things to work, but this one has got me totally stumped and was just curious if anyone else has sorted this out or is experiencing the same problem.

Have you tried replacing the service books (http://www.mobileemail.vodafonesa.co.za/)

Yup, this has already been tried. The IT people at my dads office said the only thing to do next was to upgrade the software on the phone. I find this very wierd as surely the phone should MMS by default - The phone is advertised as being MMS capable. I hope the upgrade works:

That makes some sense - my 7290 didnt have mms capabilities until I did an update.
