Blackberry 8900 - Startup Loop

Hey all,

First off, I am not a blackberry fan. Personal thing.
2nd, I have searched the forum and can't find something related to my problem.

I have a user with a Blackberry 8900. When you turn it on, it shows Blackberry and a progress bar. When the bar is "full", it shuts down and starts over again.

Any suggestions? I know she can take it in to get fixed, but last time it happened, they said they did something like a software update... IDK if this will work or even how to do it...

Plug in the phone and open up the blackberry Desktop manager.....
click on check for updates
if it finds one you will have to download it and install

That should fix the problem

P.S: remember to do a backup 1st if possible

Using Blackberry desktop manager 6, It shows the device, but everything is greyed out. Also, when I click on "connect to device", it says... bla bla bla cannot connect to device. On that screen, there is an update button, which I clicked and then it said that there is no update available for the device...

Used JL_Cmnder to reset the phone to factory defaults and it worked.
