BlackBerry App World: Purchasing Apps

Hello everyone.

I've tried to find a similar thread regarding the problem I am having and I don't seem to find one. If there is one, please link me to it :)

I want to buy a paid app from the App World (BeBuzz). I've been trying since yesterday morning.
At first, I got this error: Problem with payment authorization (error 11000) (or something to that effect, I can't remember, but the error number was 11000).
I checked online and I saw that AMEX cards are not accepted as a form of payment in SA.(http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB25368 from that link.)

I tried to change the payment options to a VISA card and it didn't let me so I made a new account and I kept getting that same error with the VISA card.

I'm using my mom's credit cards since I don't have any and she said that she will open a PayPal account. She did that and I entered that information to the BlackBerry account. I get this error: There was an error processing your payment. Please try again. (EC 9300)

I am not sure what I am doing wrong here. The VISA card is linked to the PayPal account. What else could be the problem?

I know this sounds crazy, but check your date / time as well the timezone on the phone (must be harare +2). App world sometimes gives problems if that's set wrong.

If it was set wrong just do a battery pull after you set it right.

I checked, and my phone is set to the correct time zone... OR apparently it is. I've noticed that when I send emails from my phone to my Hotmail account, the time that it shows is GMT instead of GMT 2+...

I'll play around with this and see if it could be that. I don't understand how the emails show that time zone when my phone is set to the correct time zone, very confusing.
 
Have you tried updating the appworld? Go to www.blackberry.com/appworld on the phone browser and download it. A popup will come up asking if you want to replace version x with version y. That way you can check to see if you have the latest.

Yes. I updated it today when it asked me to.
I went to that link to check and the version it asked me to replace it was the same as the one I downloaded earlier.

What would my next step be from here? :( This is so frustrating.
 
The only other suggestions I can give is to use the PayPal account to buy something else (not on the bb appworld) and see if it does work. If it does then try buying something on someone else's bb and see if it works there.

I have bought a few things from appworld before, i used my visa card as it was giving trouble with paypal, but if i remember correctly the last app i bought i changed to paypal and it worked then

It says we have a preapproved payment with RIM... But I still can't buy anything. I wanted to use PayPal to buy something from the iTunes store but it doesn't have that option in the South Africa store lol fail.

I'll try switching back to the credit card then see if that works. I'll also try on my brother's phone when he is home. I'll also try buying a different app as well.

iTunes is a fail and fortunately its pretty stupid too, it does not do any actual IP detection so just log into your profile and change your country/state/zip code to something in USA and you can buy anything you want, i made the mistake if buying an iPhone a few years back so thats what i did to buy my apps.

Haha :P

I did that but when I try link the PayPal account to the iTunes account it complained. Said something like the PayPal account is not authorised to make purchases from the USA.
