Blackberry Bold 9700 and BB Long SMS Question

Hi all....need some answers and help from Blackberry users on Cell C or in general.

I just want to know, can BB 9700 Bold or BB in general recieve long sms (not talking about MMS now) meaning sms longer than one page aka 160char's...

Lets say a 3 page sms.

I read and heard that if a sms sent is longer than one page, it says delivered from Nokia phone or so, but the BB user only gets the first 160char's or sometimes none...

If someone with a BB on Cell C or any network can just confirm this, I would really appreciate it....before i get one now, just want to know....

The only issue I've experienced, but is not limited to only the BB is the annoying [receiving text] part at the bottom of the message. In most cases it manages to find the rest and deliver it, but sometimes those multiple messages end up in the ether... not sure about delivery reports though. I am on MTN (was also experiencing it on Vodacom)
 
My mom normally sends me essays on SMS and I always receive all of it. It might just say at the bottom (receiving text) as cyber said...but as the rest comes through it adds the new text at the bottom.
 
Its nothing to do with the phone, if the sending phone can send that many then unless the network screws up it will come through, if the phone supports it it will come in separately as 1 message or be split into 3 separate message or however many there are.

The problem could be cellc, they are known to suck.
