Blackberry Bold 9900 vs 9930

Hello. I would like to find out what the difference is between the Blackberry Bold 9900 and 9930. When you buy one overseas, which one should you buy?

9900 is for GSM networks like ours and the 9930 is for CDMA networks like those in the US. So go for the 9900.

I've heard though that Blackberry in SA does not support phones bought overseas.

I'm not too sure what you mean by 'support' ? Very few manufacturers honor the warranties when products are bought overseas. I always get my mobiles overseas though. Sooo much cheaper and you get it when its actually released. Not left overs!! I will never get a contract or buy a phone locally! (U have to find the level at which the risk vs. price reward is acceptable to you). I recently purchased a 9780 for R3000 at Jumbo Electronics in the Dubai Mall. They even through in a Seagate 1TB USB powered hard drive for an extra R400. Also got an HTC Desire from www_clove_co_uk almost a year ago. It's still awesome!

According to Phonearena.com it is Q3 2011. We'll probably get it a year from now. It was so funny. In the May issue of Popular Mechanics they ran an ad on the "new" Bold (9780). At the same time Blackberry was officially announcing the new Bold 9900 / 9930. I guess its all relative.
