Blackberry Bold on MTN - do I have this right?

I am struggling to figure this one out.

MTN offer the BB 9000 on AnyTime 200 for R349pm x 24 months.

I'm trying to do the maths here and can't understand how they can offer it at that price (NOT Complaining though!)

R349 x 24 months = R8376 total spend

R200 x 24 months = R4800 "free" airtime

Difference is R3576 for a phone worth +/- R6500

AND AND AND the R349 includes R59 BB service (unlimited email & browsing)

WHERE'S THE CATCH????
Vodacom do something similar BUT with a hefty Once-off Pay in..

Anyone out there in MyBB land have this MTN deal? It sounds to good to be true.
 
I have this deal. There is no catch (but there are limits to the unlimited internet and if you make certain changes and add certain applications you can be charged for data, see the Bold Tips and Tricks thread for more). It is an excellent deal and like any contract deal it's cheap because of subsidisation. MTN Anytime Call rates are higher than MTN's previous contract deals though and ultimately they believe you will spend much more money with them (which is usually a safe bet). Great phone and a great deal - I'm loving both right now.
PS: The cash price of the Bold is closer to R8000. Vodacom are just ripping of their customers which is why they're so expensive.

You just need to get hold of the right person.
Got 2 x Bold for me and the wife just last week. :-)
 
I am also on the R349/month Bold contract. It is an excellent deal! You will love the Bold. If you phone around you should find stock. I found one after 1 day.
 
Well SuperGranny says there's plenty of stock and she's delivering it free JHB to CPT this week..

I guess im officially a "Crack" addict
