I signed up for a Blackberry Bold contract two and a half weeks ago at MTN Direct. They told me they expected stock in the first week of December but as of today nothing and no one can tell me when they expect it. I've tried MTN service centres and stores with the same story. I know RIM are having trouble delivering stock, but seriously, two and a half weeks and not a single Bold available? Does anyone know when they're going to have stock?

I'm looking at getting mine from the UK, just the handset and then going with VC's BB Prepaid for R59 p/month.

Details thereof in the link in my sig. (not anymore :p)
I'm going to try and give a poker buddy, who is a manager at a VC store in Cape Town and see if he can throw a deal together for me on a cash purchase of the handset.

Any news on the Stock? Have been waiting for mine since December on MTN, Autppage is blaming MTN, MTn is blaming BlackBerry and I'm without a phone :-(

I got mine the week before Xmas, it wasn't easy but it can be done. Just not with Autopage, who are probably ripping you off on the price anyway.
MTN Service Centres are the only ones who get stock and even then only a few at a time.
Here's what I did: Go to www.mtnsp.co.za and get the e-mail addresses for the service centres and then email everyone in the country. When you find one you can have them send it to your closest service centre and pick it up from there, I got mine sent from a very nice lady in Soweto to Northgate. Good Luck.
