I think the BB is damn nice, if I wanted something sexy to hold I'll grope my wife :)

well, touch screen UI's have been out since year .dot, so no, I dont see it as being anything earth shattering to have a touch screen UI. I dont think we can try pin a who copied who, on anyone, the fact that BB might have got it better is a matter of innovation and how well you make your product.

Hows the push email working for the iPhone? O wait, it doesnt :) And the GPS is like a half effort, almost an after thought.

Thanks man! Haven't had a chance yet. My N95 had the GarminXT app installed - which was fantastic...So this has a lot to live up to :)

Yea - its a load of cr@p that we have to pay in... It was about 1899 pay in on the BB talk 100 contract. I'm subsidising it over the 24month contract - then at least I get my company to help out 'more' as well :) This was from CELLUCITY in canal walk.
I think MTN is cheaper - with no pay in, but then you don't have the R69 unlimited internet thing...
 
Anyone know what the GPS is like with the MTN version? I've heard reports that the maps on MTN's models aren't as good as Vodacoms...

Vodas come with SatNav, one of the best mobile navigation apps on the market.
Not sure what MTN is using on theirs.

Wonder if you can download Vodafone SatNav to an MTN handset? Saw a link to download the application somewhere. But using the application would count as data usage outside the unlimited BIS subscription wouldn't it?

You would then need the BB apn activated on you MTN BB.
With a Voda sim and BB apn its a zero rated APN and map retrieval shes free.
 
Is there any news yet on the software/firmware update for the BB BOLD? I'm referring to the issue that one of the UK cell networks reported.. possibly Orange?

Does anyone have an idea what the pay in will be for the BB BOLD on an upgrade with the Vodacom TopUp 315 Contract?
