Blackberry Curve 8900 - help pls

My husband's BB got stolen and he got a Blackberry Curve 8900 as replacement.

Problems:

1. When you open an sms, there is no "forward" function. How do you FW an SMS on this phone ?

2. How do you unlock the keypad ?

Tried your advice but it does not work

If you scroll to the message and press the BB button, there is no forward option

Is there any way in which the phone were 'damaged' and we can somehow restore original settings ? Will that wipe out the contact list ?

Try pressing "f" in the message.
You can do a complete back up, wipe the device, and then restore specific items with Blackberry Desktop Manager. Also make sure you have the latest firmware (check on the MTN site), OS5 is available for your phone now.

Hi, Not sure if you've solved your problems, I've got a 8900 and to fwd is simple.

Open the message you want to forward. The cursor will be at the beginning of the line in the box at the bottom. Scroll up into the message and then press the BB button. You will see Forward as well as Forward As.

To lock unlock the 8900, press the button on the top of the phone (left). If you look at the top, you should see a little padlock.
