Blackberry Curve Price Drop

Considering the announcement of the arrival of the Curve 3G, would there be a price drop on the card for the old curve 8520?

No. The curve 3G is going to be at the same price point as the old 8900, so unlikely the 8520 will drop in price (but it could happen).

I can confirm Curv 8520 is dropping probably by end of the year we will see the device going for R2000, already have seen some retailers selling the device for R2200

I believe incredible connection already had it for R2000 earlier this year so that's why I said I doubt it will go much lower and the same on contract.

According to the MTN deal sheet I've seen the 9300 (with bis included) will be:
MTN 100 R239
MTN 200 R299
MTN 350 R389
So it's actually quite well priced on contract (no indication of when mtn will actually have stock though).

Thank you for the indication on the contract prices on the 9300.. I will definitely order the hand set. R79 per month buy-in for the hand set aint bad to be honest
