GHD? That's the one with the feature that always makes your hair look great, right?

...also, what's this thread for, Jacques? It's neither here nor there :p

Given that the DTEK50 isn't even in SA yet, I wonder if the 60 will ever get here.

MTN has the DTEK50 on various options. Vodacom has it only for corporate contracts. Cullucity has it for Vodacom, but it seems like the contracts are pretty expensive compared to MTN. My girlfriend is going along to get one tonight.

Got my DTEK60 via the BB Shop, Canada.
Arrived just before Xmas.
I won't go on about what I miss about having a physical keyboard, for the rest, this phone is really smooth.
I don't hack at rooting and cracking Android anymore, it's just becoming clearer every day that we as mobile phone consumers with "open" OS's like Android is being used as mobile electronic catalogues with all the adds that pop up everywhere on the phone.

Anyway, now to find a more functional case for protection.
The BB one I had sent with the phone is thin and the rear lens is still exposed to potential damage.
Couple of options being discussed on Crackberry, but none available locally.
Yes, I can Ebay one, but just a schlep and costs are prohibitive.

BTW Claymore, there was a security update release on 5 January. Updated mine today.

Anyone using the dtek50/60? If so, is BB maintaining there monthly security updates? Is their security solution worth the hype they placed around it?

I have a Priv, GF has a DTEK50. Regular monthly security updates, and regular BB software updates too, with new features still coming.

Things like adding new apps to be visible in the Hub, message previews while roaming, dark themes, and so on. This month Hub added a few things, while Contacts, Calendar, Notes, and some of the others were mainly bug fixes.

Cool thanks for the info :)

Sheesh, time flies.
10 months later, anyone of you other two okes still use your DTEK50/60s?

My DTEK60 still going strong, so strong it has chewed up and destroyed two 64GB SD cards in 18months.

For the rest, except that it's not water and dust resistant, still stacks up as "good or better" than the iPhone X and Samsung 8S...

Updates, what updates?
