Anybody had this with their Blackberry before :?
One of our users had his BB8707 freez up on him a few weeks ago... it just stays on the MTN logo. Restart, with / without sim & battery, nothing helps, as u switch it on, it comes up with the full screen MTN logo, and then just stays there, hourglass rotating. Tried a few similar scenarios found on the internet, but nothing helps... seems to be a software f-up.
So he sent in the BB to MTN to have a look... still waiting for news. Sofar the one guy contacted us, and said it looks like water damage
weird, was working fine for a loooong time, and definately didnt get wet while he used it (he took it over from another user, who left, and may have got it wet during his use, perhaps leaving traces of water)
But what is also weird is... while this BB is in with MTN, this particular user, has been using his 'old' BB, one of those first ones 7100 I think... and yesterday, he received a call, but the handset would not answer, came up with a message like "incoming call failed"... and that messages just wouldnt go away, now, even after hard restart, this BB also stuck on the loadscreen. This is a Vodafone BB (with MTN sim), so when restarting it just stays on the Vodafone logo, with hourglass going round and round and....
This almost sounds like some phone virus? Anybody got ideas?
