Blackberry help

So my friend was given a Blackberry 9000 by someone. He is on pay as you go. Can anyone offer any advice on how to setup the phone to use the Blackberry internet free as well as BBM?

you need to subscribe to bis through your provider , and its in no way free , its about R60 a month. go to the providers website they should have instructions there on how to obtain the bis service

Oh I see... I just figured as everyone is raving about Blackberry's coming with free internet it would apply to all situations...

its a lie that seems to be pretty popular with BB users , you will normaly hear somthing along the lines of "the only reason i got a BB is for the free internet" which is bs they got it to be cool , in no situation i know of is bis free

Its the stupidity of the common human, those of us with actual brains use the term Unlimited Internet, not Free Internet. The Free part was started by the morons on the cheap contracts who get like uber big discount where you pay like R150pm on that weekender with BIS.

BIS never has been and never will be free, its Unlimited on handset internet with the exception of streaming media which is charged at normal data rates.
