Who here seriously uses BlackBerry messenge?

I've alternatively switched over from ordinary sms to blackberry messenger and making tons of friends on a daily basis from all over the world.

Would anyone be interested in sharing their PIN?
Here is pin:21e2cf07 - best and easy way to do it is type out "my pin" as one word

Use it on a daily basis, especially for friends overseas!!!!
 
Yeh, I use it on a daily basis as well, but mostly to chat to my fiancé.
 
Works great with the buddies at a party if we can't find each other. It's in daily use too.

okay. how can use say its better than mxit? Its like the same thing? Mxit|MSN|Skype|G-Talk or apps like Fring|Mig33|IM+ uses your data connection. They can run in the background on many phones with an operator systems similar to BlackBerry.. e.g what I have in the Nokia N97 etc. Entry level phones such as 5800 Xpress Music does the same.

BB uses very similar protocols but shuts out other users completely that aren't on that network? Slightly frustrating when you are being peer pressured into leaving your phone manufacturer of choice. I can't really understand how it can be better in terms of performance in any way shape or form.

The problem with running applications like Mxit in the background is that you have to switch back to them to check if you have any new messages (especially if your phone is on silent). BBM eliminates that need. Read/received reports are also very handy. These two features result in the whole experience coming across more like SMS than IM, as everyone is online all the time. I hate running Mxit in the background because people seem to assume that if you're online you want to talk to them, and often I forget I've logged on and end up having received tons of messages from people who are now offline. Disconnects interrupt conversations to no end too.

Add to that no data costs with BIS and it's a no brainer really...for me anyway.

I can confidently say that mxit is a joke in comparison to BBM. Very often I can't even log onto mxit, and when I can I either dnt get half the msgs, I get msgs like 10minutes after it was sent or I keep getting disconnected. BBM is 100% reliable. And the delivered and read notifications are excellent.
 
I use it all the time. Saves me a packet when chatting to my daughter. For friends who dont have BB download pingchat at www.pingchat.com and you can then chat to friends with iPhone and Androids.
