A weird one - Can a sim card Disable Manual Network Selection option on a BB? I have no option for Manual/Automatic Network Selection Mode in 'Options->Mobile Networks'.
All I have is Data Services, While Roaming, the mobile network indicator (Cell C) and Network Mode on the 9300 (3G & 2G) on either my BB 8520 nor 9300.
I have reset my 8520 to factory default - I have the Network Selection Mode before I put the Cell C Sim card in or I use another sim card. I put the sim in and it disappears once I restart the BB - even before the BB registration. I pull the battery put another sim card in an it comes back?
I have my BB 9300 on OS5 had the same issue and changed to OS6, once upgraded have the same issue - still no Network Selection Mode.
Only thing in common is the sim card itself. Can a sim card disable manual Network selection on a BB? I have phoned Cell C who says its not their configuration, I don't restrict network mode on the BES ( I have 15 other BB all OK on the BES).
