Blackberry, oh dear!

Seems not even Blackberry staffers want to use Blackberry any more.

BlackBerry as a company is no longer only about devices, and that’s the part that MOST PEOPLE FORGET. Yes, they should be using BlackBerry devices exclusively to tweet, but as a company, they openly use and support other smartphone platforms. BBM, for example, is available on the iPhone (it’s not very good, but it’s there). BES also includes iPhone support and has for a while now.
Basically what I’m trying to say is BlackBerry tweeting from an iPhone is just not as a big deal as it would have been even two years ago. Yeah, it was a gaffe, and hopefully it doesn’t happen again. But when you have tons of social media people posting on different accounts all over, sharing and resharing Instagram posts, mistakes can happen. Let’s not kill ‘em for it.

Social media faux pas happens to everyone.

Not such a big deal... Which is why they deleted it soon after?

Yeah right.

It seems a few people disagree with you. That and the countless news articles about it.

that would make sense except it wasn't a case of "posting on different accounts", this was the main @Blackberry account. You would think using the Blackberry Twitter account would be done by staffers who had enough pride in the company to actually use one of the company's ****ty handsets ;).

You are right, no need to kill them, but everyone can laugh at them...

It would be funny, but the joke that is BlackBerry died in 2011. So it ain't funny any more. :erm:

Many people often say to be, "Blackberry is bankrupt or Blackberry is dead" ect ect.

But then i show them my device i just purchased and its like, how did they make this if they were dead of bankrupt? hmm?

Blackberry is a SECURITY company that provides end to end security for your mobile device of your choosing through BES12 which means they support "Apple IOS , Samsung Android, Windows mobile ect" This means that they have those devices in their "studios" for testing ect.

Blackberry have also stated that they understand people sometimes carry 2 devices, they just want one of them for Blackberry. I do agree that it was not the right thing to do, but its honestly not that bad. IMO

Its probably done by someone at a social media company, some PR place.

Whatevs

Obviously they couldn't take a picture of the Classic with itself, so they needed another phone, and tweeted from the iPhone because it's too much hassle to share files...

Alot of social networking accounts for companies are managed by 3rd party PR companies.
These things can happen.
