Blackberry on Prepaid?

Hi everyone!

I'm a complete newb when it comes to Blackberries and yesterday I got one from work to stay in touch remotely (Blackberry chat and Exchange emails).

Do I need a contract to have access to Blackberry Internet and Blackberry Enterprise? (BIS and BES)?

Who would be the best service provider for this?

No contract needed. But u need to purchase BIS every month for about R60.
On contract of course u get BIS for free from most SP's.
 
Thanks! What about BES? Can this also be purchased on prepaid?

I don't mind getting a contract. Just want to know what my options are ^^
 
what blackberry did you get?

cell c has the cheapest rate on BIS just make sure that if you have a 3g/hsdpa blackberry that cell c have coverage in your area.

I think they charge R59.

The price here is pretty standard - VC also charge R59 for 30 days so go with who ever has best coverage in your area.
 
Only get BES if you have a enterprise server. For normal BB BIS will do.
 
It's the cheapest one I think. Got it from work (forgot to add that in my post) to stay in touch and have access to my emails (which works perfectly fine on my Nokia...)

We have an Enterprise server, so will need the BES. I'm trying to avoid CellC...been with them for 4 years and had the worst kind of service. I'd rather pay more ;)

Edit: It's the Blackberry 8520 Curve
 
It looks like 8ta has prepaid BES for R89 per month too.
