The BlackBerry Pearl 8110 has a setting called SureType which predicts what you will type and offers ‘suggestions’ or completed words filed in your Autotext vocabulary bank.
This is a great idea and hats off to BlackBerry for catering for this segment of the market.
But for a group, of which I am one, SureType is one step too far. The problem for me is reverting back to the ‘normal’ setting (more accurately called Multitap) every time I remove the battery.
So, how do you fix it?
Step 1: Go to Settings (on my phone it’s the screw driver and wrench)
Step 2: Select Language or Localisation
Step 3: Select English (UK Multitap)
And Bob’s your Uncle, you should now be able to use the keypad as if it were any ordinary mobile phone.
