Blackberry Playbook Functionailty compared to Cell phone

Hi,

I'm doing research.

I want to buy a BB phone for the sole purpose of having to pay only R60 prepaid a month to have access to FB, internet, etc. Then I heard of PlayBook.

Q - does the Playbook require a sim card - does it have 3G like the phone - lastly, will I have the option to pay prepaid so as to browse the web like the cell?

Current Playbooks have no GSM or 3G support. Needs WiFi.

Don't forget that your access to FB, internet etc will be at snail's pace, you cannot download anything and when certain apps bypass your proxy, it's not the network's fault that you have accumulated a R3k phone bill just from Whatsapp... Just saying...

Why does everybody hate these phones? I don't have those problems. Well, I'm on MTN Top-up. Not Vodacom, which I think you're talking about.
I haven't had an android phone yet, so maybe when I get one (because I'm leaving RIM), I'll also hate these phones.

I have a BB & hate it: BIS rarely works as advertised(on ALL networks), limited software support & parent company not doing very well of late...

I also have an Android device & when you get one, you will most likely hate the BB too!
