BlackBerry Services

Up to 5 (i think email accounts) 'pushed' to your phone, unlimited internet browsing on the phone for a small subscription. Apps like MSN messenger, facebook, gtalk, blackberry messenger all included, free navigation for some GPS apps.

Just spoke to the MTN Business Solutions (1555), the guy explained it quite ok and that it costs R69. Unfortunately u need to have the BlackBerry Solution/ Service Software installed on your handset in order to enjoy this service. As it stands now, my E71 doesnt support this software - therefore I cant use it. Shame

See this link for what is supported (Nokia devices) for Blackberry Connect -> http://www.businesssoftware.nokia.com/blackberry_downloads.php

The E71 is not listed. Moreover, I was also told that without the BlackBerry I wont be able to use the Unlimited Browsing as only the BB uses the APN or something. Ok, thats it. Tough luck!

Unfortunately for best results with the Blackberry service , one would be required to use an actual RIM -> Blackberry handheld.

Also thinking of getting a blackberry.

My question is: is it full internet browsing?

As in, the full website including pictures, etc? Or just text?

Also, what if you download something?

Browsing depends on your browser and settings. I use opera mini and it's "like" a desktop browser. Downloads are limited. I've found that different file types have different limits. I've downloaded a zip file that was 20mb but I can't download a pdf that is 3mb.

Yes its a pity about the different file type limits. Since a Blackberry is a business phone it doesn't make sense that one can't download a 3MB pdf file but can download a 32MB mp3.
