I upgraded end of Feb to my Storm, from day 1, the network signal was bad, any phone call, made or received - i battle to hear the other person, its like a bad connection, i have noticed that even if my phone shows full bars on whichever network - 3G,2G, Edge, GPRS - the moment i call or answer a call, the network starts searching and does not lock on to the best tower. I changed from automatic to manual, it didnt make a difference. I called Vodacom CCare, they thought it was a handset problem and replaced it with a new one in the first week.
My 2nd new handset is now selective when it does exactly the same thing. Especially when the weather is acting up, doesn't matter where i am, the reception is so bad, i cannot hear a word anyone is saying. (vodacom, mtn, cell c, telkom - all calls!)
I have logged a service call to vodacom over the easter weekend and hope it is a tower strength issue in my area, but im not convinced it is.
May it be a setting on my phone that needs to change?
I have switched back to my LG for now, and have no problems.
Can anyone please help me, i dont want another phone, i just want to be able to make a call!
