Blackberry to iPhone? Work + home email

Hi,

I'm thinking of switching over to an iphone from my blackberry.

However, after using a friend's device, I could not find out how to do the following. Can anyone advise:

I set up a gmail account using the "Exchange" option, and placed the mail icon on the bottom of the screen.
I then set up a 2nd gmail account (gmail apps) using the exchange option.

However, I can't do the following, which I could on my blackberry:
1) On my blackberry, I have 2 separate accounts for the gmail and gmail apps account. On the iphone, I need to click on the mail up, and go back 2 screens to change between accounts? Is there any way to have 2 icons on the iphone?
2) On the blackberry, I get a star con when new email comes. However, if I just open that email account (Without even reading any of the mails), the star disappears. However, on the iphone, the unread mail count number still stays next to the mail icon, even after I open the mail account (I have to manually open up every message for that mail count number to disappear). Is there any way to change that?

No, unfortunately not. The only way I can think of to have two separate icons is to have two separate mail apps, like Sparrow and Mail, each for their own account, (or a link to gmail web app for the other one)

Again, no, unfortunately not. I know Windows Phone 7 worked like the Blackberry in that respect. Was quite nice. You can mark multiple mails as read on iPhone but it doesn't work like that. Yeah sorry!

I'd prefer that second issue on an iPhone.I have tons of unread emails on my bb simply because there's no "reminder" to deal with them.

I'm sure the iphone comes with a native Email app setup one gmail account on that and download the gmail app and setup another gmail account that?
Don't use an iphone but that could work
