Hi All,

Brief history I've had with the BlackBerry Torch - 2 weeks after getting the phone, it started scrolling by itself. Sent back and after another 2 weeks was issued a new phone. Now I've noticed that while I use the phone, the area below the battery (just behind the keyboard) gets warmer and warmer (similarly to what lap tops and desk tops do). I assume its because its "working" and the area is heating up but don't know if it needs to be taken back again or I'm being over-sensitive given my history with the phone?

Has this happend to anyone else with a Torch?

It the battery, had a Bold do that and lately and Curve too. your battery will run down faster and faster. take it back.

Had similar experience with my Samsung GS. Also took it back. Seems it might be a feature of some the smartphones?

LED lamps in torches work better ... much cooler ;-)

I don't think it is something to be too concerned about when the phone is actively sending/receiving data on HSPA. My iPhone 4 does the same when transmitting lots of data. It should not be getting that hot when idle.
