Blackberry touch and type dropping wifi

Hi all

We got our daughter a basic BB touch and type for Xmas, but it keeps dropping the wifi connection at the house and we have to take the battery out and do a hard reset before it will pick up the connection again. Has anyone else had the same problem?

I was wondering if it was perhaps something do with the router settings, something I need to tweak in the settings on the router setup page?

Make sure wifi is setup as WPA - also; what router/AP are you using?

I think its WPE. Should I change that? And it's a basic Telkom D Link router.

WEP is the older type which I found has issues with new mobiles (iPhones included)

WPA is also a lot more secure
