Blackberry voice mail help

Hi can anyone help me, I have a Blackberry 9780 but the voice mail does not work as per usual i.e. unanswered calls should go to voicemail. I took the phone to Vodashop but they don't know how to set up voice mail on blackberry.

There is an option for voice mail in the blackberry settings, but it requires an access number and password...

Isn't it 121 for Vodacum?

just dial **61*xxx131yyyyyyy# as well as **62*xxx131yyyyyyy# where xxx is the first 3 digits of your phone number and yyyyyyy is the last 7 digits. Done

Also, you can dial 121 to check that your voicemail box is active. you should get a voice saying something like "You have no new voice mail messages..." if you get that then it's ok. If you get a message asking you to set it up then just follow the prompts.

BTW is it a original vodacom number or have you ported at some stage? if you ported from mtn for eg. then the above codes wont work.
