Slightly off-topic but does anyone know if Vodacom plan to introduce additional blackberry models in the near future (other than the 7100V and 7290)

Also, does anyone know how to disable the Vodafone Live Browser on the Blackberry. I need to have the actual "Blackberry Browser" working but cannot find this option in the service book.

TIA.

Have you tried blackberryforums.com?

3 options

Hi

1.You can hide the Vodafone live icon - while the live icon is highlighted, hold the alt(half moon) button down and click on scroll wheel - hide icon.
2. Change your theme to default - settings/theme - 'vodafone live' will be replaced by 'services' which is not that obvious ;) .
3. If you are going to use browser via mds(enterprise) only and not viewing any wap sites, disable wap on your account.

Cheers

Your best bet is to dial +2782155 or from you Vodacom cellphone dial 155. I spoke to the support techies there and was rather dissappointed that they although they say they have tested the blackberry 7100v; they did not proceeded further as to support their users who wish to configure this unit as an extrernal GPRS modem with the PC, I dont believe there is enough support for this device, I have manged though to configure the BlacBerry 7100v as a GPRS modem on my Windows XP PC, I can gladly surf, for R1000 ($153), the BlackBerry 7100v was a bargain.
