Umm stoopid Question, when exactly does AQ open?

Once the war effort has been completed, and the player has completed the Scepter chain.

Usually the player/guild announce when they will open the gates... it really is the best server event ever, pity nothing like it happened in TBC\

Reason i'm leveling a char, is cause the event takes place in Silithus (55-60) zone... low levels cant get there.

There's rumour that the Scourge Invasion event will occur before Wrath of the Lich King. Not sure if it'll be the same as the last time or something new but either way, it's something pretty cool to look forward to.

And the whole Sunwell Isle thing was pretty nifty. I can't comment as to comparison to AQ though, having never experienced the gate event, but TBC has had it's moments.

I have a couple of spare 60's that I never leveled to 70 could one not just transfer to the realm and avoid the leveling pain?

Sadly not, transfers are closed for 6months on new realms, unless specified otherwise
