I think anybody who wants to succeed in life needs to copy somebody who is successful, first of all by respecting them enough to consider them an equal, and not just some white devil who stole their land. Try and teach them English, they refuse. Try and teach them history, it's not their own history so they refuse. I remember growing up with the distinct impression that we were right at the bottom of the food chain, and anything you would ever achieve would be by some miraculous amount of determination, and even then failure would be likely (being measured up to inimitable role models). It wasn't true, but I believed it and it drove me to succeed. Today it's exactly the truth, even though no-one seems to believe it, to their peril.
