Blaze at sea-point flat contained

Firefighters have contained a blaze at Mimosa Court in Beach Road, Sea Point. The block of flats has been evacuated.

Two people have been treated for smoke inhalation.

The blaze broke out on the 4th floor.
Fire and Rescue spokesperson Theo Layne says the cause of the fire is unknown.

“The block of flats has been evacuated and the fire contained. Firefighters will remain on site.”
