Blender - Starting up

I love 3D max. But I don't know about any bugs... other than my UV mappings not sticking to my models.

For general use...they're more or less the same.

Just keep in mind, you're firstly an artist, and then you use the tools. :)

Use Polyboost, or that plugin (can't remember the name...wrapper?) where you add a point on the texture, and one on the model, do it like 12 times and click calculate, and BAM! UV is set.

For gaming (low-poly) models. Textporter works awesome...
Here's the process:
With your completed model, you add a UV Map mod, and then an Edit Polly mod, you use the Edit Polly to cut, rotate and move the model till it looks like something flat you can "paint" in photoshop. Then you capture the wireframe with Textporter, add the material to the model, and remove the Edit Poly mod. Then everything snaps together... perfectly mapped.

This works great with any model i import.. but as soon as I use a model made on my Pc, then the UV mapping won't lock to the pollys.:confused:
