After having an incident (not physical) at the office recently, I was wondering, has anyone here actually bliksemed someone at work, or have you been bliksemed at work? What happened, to you, him / her etc? Did you have to put it on your employment record?

it's quite funny, a while back some woman at work attacked another woman (over some man, apparently) and they were BOTH dismissed. how is that fair?

Well my manager has bliksemed me but not to the point of blood coming out but definitely hurt me & in front of our boss (his dad). END result - we still working together "sigh" I don't hate him but only his sudden attitude change from best friend to physical violence. Yes, am a big bloke (chubby fat) but that does not mean i want to hurt people.

TBH, if i got fired, i would've been happy :D

I got threatened once, saying "I will f* kill you"... Me being cautious, I had him on record prior to walking into his office.

Nothing happened, hr dismissed the case saying "it's against company policy to use recordings as proof" sigh

Shouldn't that be under employee theft?

Are we working for the same company? ;) We had the same problem a while back (not witnessed though :( )

Well 'goofing around' counts as employee theft since your not doing your job productively.Though thats not the case it should def count.

I dont consider me finding out he used company credit card at the local strip joint (since I work in finance) goofing around. He told me what he did in the hopes I don't report him.

I did report him to our gm, who then sent him back to the uk (as he was on assignment here). Although, the threat I was issued with by him was dismissed

Sorry mate. If I was the boss I would fire him straight...can't have that stuff at work

maybe it isn't fair, Companies usually have strict policies at work to ensure the safety of their clients all in all. And they like avoiding it before it gives them a bad name.

Agreed. That's what I was pushing for by his boss, but policy stated we can't fire assignees, it has to be done by his home country (being the uk gm). He didn't seem bothered. At least when the guy tried to come back 3 years later for another project we got going, me moving up in the ladder here, I was able to accept or decline... I'll let u guess which I decided.. Seeing I had backup evidence he left SA with over 30k debt and a house with over 50k damage left behind ;) don't think he'll set foot in this country any time soon for our company
