Just found out they had a new album - Neighborhoods - a couple of days ago (not so new anymore), and it's now my second favourite album of theirs. Damn it's really good.

Good Job.

My Apologies if I come across as offensive. my time on 4chan has given me a weird sense of humor.

Yeah I don;t get it.

I am dismissing your statement without attempting to engage you in the topic, therefore showing my lack of interest.

tl;dr: The equivalent of saying Cool Story Bro.

not that I don't have an interest in Blink 182. I just don't particularly like new age rock.

I used to love Blink-182, but I can't stand Neighborhoods. Their unique sound is gone - the only tracks that don't suck sound like Angels & Airwaves with an out of place Hoppus. Seriously, Mark Hoppus is terrible in this album.

I love it, it's very different from the original 'teeny-angst' that they had; but still brilliant.

They are still around after all these years. They are much better now with Skiba in and Delonge gone.

Wow this thread comes from way back.

I agree though, I have seen Blink live twice. The first time in 2014 when Tom was still in the band and the second time in 2017 when Skiba was in full swing. I can honestly say that the vibe from the band changed 1000%. With Tom in the band it was robotic and without feeling, with Skiba it was amazingly full of life and super fun again.

Also managed to catch one of Skiba's plectrums :thumbsup:

There were 2 albums released since the OP wasn't there?

Yes there was

Yep and what you don't see there is that California has an deluxe edition which consists of an additional 12 tracks that was released a few months after California. Some great tracks on that as well.

Indeed,

Thanks to spotify I've been discovering these little knowns, as well as singles that aren't on any albums, many of those around.

Tom was good during the early 2000's. He was probably the best pop-punk singer during that period but seems to have lost interest around 2005. They mentioned that the four year breakup was because he quit the band.

Travis and Mark also mentioned that they took so long to put out a follow up to Neighborhoods because Tom delayed the process.

I don't really know if Tom is mentally sane because he seems to be obsessed with UFO technology and was even collecting money from people.

Hmmm

In 2015, DeLonge founded To the Stars Academy of Arts & Sciences, an organization dedicated to ufology.[95]

In a 2018 financial statement filed with the SEC, the company reported that it "has incurred losses from operations and has an accumulated deficit at June 30, 2018 of $37,432,000. These factors raise doubt about the Company’s ability to continue as a going concern."[96]

In 2019, it produced the History Channel television show Unidentified: Inside America's UFO Investigation, about the USS Nimitz UFO incident, which also features DeLonge.[97]
