Hello All

I have a D-Link DSL 2740u router flashed with the latest FW from Dlink

The router has an INTERNET light which flashes green continuously.

I am not able to access websites. I have tried 2 x ISP details and even Telkom ADSL guest account with no luck

Telkom blames the ISP's, the ISP's blame Telkom and DLINK shrug shoulders.

Anyone able to assist me??

Does the router sync? Im not sure about the lights as all routers are different.
If the router syncs - can we have the noise margin and attenuation stats and connection uptime?
Telkom won't help unless its a crappy Telkom router.
Its most probably Telkom if you have used a Telkom Guest account without any luck.

First check if the router got an IP address from the ISP, which should be shown on the start webpage of the router after you've logged in.

Then check if you can ping a local IP address from the router. For this you'll need to connect to the router using Telnet. Windows Vista/7 doesn't have the Telnet client installed by default, so you'll have to install it from Add/Remove programs.
Try pinging www.take2.co.za's IP address: ping 196.33.12.47
If that succeeded, try pinging it by the hostname: ping www.take2.co.za

If everything works on the router, then you can go and do the same kind of ping tests on a PC.

Edit:
To get the line statistics, go to Device Info -> Statistics -> ADSL
