Played all of saturday & sunday (only 73) and started lagging and switch pc on this morning and woot screen tears and no signal messges. Lich King fu*cked up card.

I've had some graphical anomalies only with WoW - Reloaded my Nvidia drivers and they disappeared :P

Graphics Card

I have had exactly the same issue except I left my computer off for half the day and switched it back on and it worked fine took it in to be checked and nothing wrong with it. So could be WOW I dont know. Have had high temprature issues with card hitting 100c with fan running at 60%. Could be same problem screen just flashes on and off didnt boot at all.

check the gpu fan, if its running at 100% try immersing the card in water while playing :D

"Doctor doctor I get faint whenever I ride a bike"

"How often do you exercise sir?"

"About once every 2 months"

"Strange, must be the bike then" *sarcasm*

Graphic tears are consistent with VRAM issues, this is usually caused by faulty memory on the card to begin with, i had the same issue with my 7900GS in my dell inspiron, the memory fked out.

na its the old 9600gt's starts with black screen of death and then the card starts dying. Ordered a xfx 9600gt alpha dog, no problems with that card i hope. the xfx guys know their ****. Played last night with the 9800gtx+ no problems.

The 9600GT and the 9800GTX+ are MILES apart when it comes to performance. Instead of getting another 9600 (six series nVidia cards, eww ) get something a bit better imho.

Im using an ATi 4850 at the moment and its bending wow over and doing unlawful things to it :D however my CPU is really bottlenecking performance for me.

P.S. Not im not an ATi fanboi, this happens to be the first ATi card I have owned! :P
