Block-Out in Stellenbosch

Can anyone provide more information on the total blockout or Rain services in the Die Rand suburb of Stellenbosch?

After hours on 4th November LTE coverage was "switched Off" and has not been restored. The grapevine informs us that collusion between one of the network operators and Stellenbosch University, possibly in an attempt to gain a monopoly, is the cause of this outage.

There's been no notice or advice to resident, and requests to Rain themselves are unanswered.

I think my issue is related. Been down since ~4/5th of November in Idasvalley Stellenbosch

I have 4 staff members all in work-from-home arrangements, using mi-fi dongles and Rain data SIM Cards. All went down simultaneously and have not been restored.

We've made complaint to the municipality too.

Hi @Brewed_Coffee . I was able to loan a poynting external antenna and connect to another tower. The quality isn't great, but at least it's something. The Nietvoorbij tower is still off, it appears.
