I think there might be a kink in the service somewhere at the moment. Sent a message to a friend this morning via WhatsApp (MTN to Vodacom), and he hasn't received it yet. Only 1 tick, so I called him about an hour later and he still hadn't received any message.

One tick doesn't necessarily mean that you are blocked. A sure fire way to conclude that you are blocked is if you can't see their last time online lol. Although I haven't been on whatsapp for months so this may have changed...

it shows 1 tick and the time stays as at when the person blocked you, when unblocked the messages still show as 1 tick, Tested it.

Incorrect. Whatsapp has no read-notification functionality. 1 tick means your phone managed to send the message. 2 ticks means the recipient phone received the message.

I've done the same. Unblock her once in a while and then block again. The inconsistency will let her think it's network/phone issues etc.

I think there's. glitch with this blocking thing :

If I block a person but I've still got a chat window open - I can still see their online status. I'm guessing it would be the same for the person? If they have my window open, they can see when I'm online last - even though they are blocked?
