Hi Guys

Just want to know if it is possible to block MSN messenger and if so what ports do i need to close or deny on my router?

if i recall correctly its 3389 or 3369

I'm pretty sure 3389 is Terminal Services/Remote Desktop.

This link says it either uses 1863 or 443. But 443 is SSL, so that could be problematic.

You can probe any port from here, just enter the number and test.

There is also a setting on ZoneAlarm Pro which you can disable the IM of your choice.

Oops wrong port, sorry, if all else fails, just uninstall messenger via add/remove programs
