Blocking MSN on Marconi router - possible?

Hey peeps

Yes I've googled, searched this forum, but am left with no answers. Now this could be because there is no answer, or because M$ is blocking all helpfull search results

I need to block the use of MSN, preferably on the router, and not on the machine. I have free access to the router, but to chase a user away from a machine, and then suddenly MSN does not work, that is just asking for it.

Is there a way to do this? Blocking ports, protocalls or something like that?

Daily I can see productivity being hampered by the use of MSN. I need to put a stop to this, without being to invasive. Please help...

Block outgoing access to the MSN login server:
gateway.messenger.hotmail.com (was login.gateway.hotmail.com)

Or connect to the user desktop remotely and add to the file C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts.
127.0.0.1 gateway.messenger.hotmail.com

TCP 6891-6900 for MSN file transfers
TCP - UDP 6901 for MSN Messenger - voice communications (PC to PC)
UDP - 2001-2120, 6801, 6901 - Windows Messenger - voice (PC to phone)

Ok I have tried all the above, blocking ports, changing the host file, but still no luck. MSN loggs in as if nothing has happened, any other advice?
