Typical WhatsApp not listening to what users want. Users have been asking for this feature for a long time. Yet they prefer to release useless "updates" like picture status or trying to keep up with Telegram.
Major shortfalls in WhatsApp:
No blocking of unknown users by default.
No blocking of adding to groups or the option to opt out of readdition.
No blocking of a user's messages, in a group, where you have blocked the user.
If it wasn't for one single user (my boss) I wouldn't have WhatsApp on my phone. 2 years of happily using Telegram.

I thought only group admins can add people to the groups? If that's the case, and he's your friend, tell him to stop adding you.

The starting admin can allocate admin rights to others on the group. I've seen a group where 6 out of the 10 people were admins. Stupid...I thought only group admins can add people to the groups? If that's the case, and he's your friend, tell him to stop adding you.
