After fasting for 8-10 hours, should the figures be fairly consistent or still vary from activities of the previous day? In other words, should drinking gin the afternoon before the test affect the result?

I have recieved 7.7, 3.9 and 5.7 over the last 3 days testing between 6am-7am in the morning.

Should be consistent but stress can have an effect. Under stressful conditions, you body release cortisol which provides the body with glucose by tapping into protein stores via gluconeogenesis in the liver.

Thanks.

I'll keep at it over the next few days and just see what happens then

Gin should not affect blood sugar
What did you mix it with?
