Blood-testing labs

Hi guys. Are there any blood-testing labs like Lancet or Ampath or the like where you as just a person from the street can go in and request your own blood-testing panel, or do they all require that it be done via a doctor?

The last time I checked, only one of the major labs made allowance for this.

Realize that results aren't always in easy-to-read english and having a GP helps to decipher the numbers.
