SlySoft, the company behind Blu-ray ripping software AnyDVD, has shut down its website and ceased sales of its products.

It's in a perpetual beta. This plus Handbrake and we're good to go!

It's actually easier just to download a ripped copy from the Internet than sit and rip each one of your DVDs and Blu-Rays.

Oh no. I've had a lifetime subscription pretty much since they started. The last update was just a week ago - Version 7.6.9.0. The are (were) based in the Caribbean, in St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda.

If they expect to never use it commercially again they could allow the source to escape into the wild.

My main use for this has always been to remove the region block.
