Blu-ray through PC...

Hi peeps here's a conundrum;

I have a PS3..
I have a veeery nice set of headphones..
I would like to watch a bluray title through my PS3, onto my PC and through my Headphones

I know about the audio stuff, so here's my question.

If I purchase a Xonar HDAV 1.3, will I be able to convert 7.1 audio (from the HDMI) to stereo?
The HDMI out would go to my HDCP-capable monitor.

So it would go like this:

PS3 -> HDMI -> Xonar HDAV -> Does magic -> HDMI -> Monitor

No need to convert the 7.1 to stereo, just select the stereo soundtrack on the blu-ray. So that is one problem out of the way.

Well the problem is that I may also use the PS3 for games..
The soundcard does Dolby Headphone which, in my experience, works quite well.

To make your life easier just sell the ps3 and get a bluray rom.

Easier it may be, but not as awesome as one where I could play on my PS3..
