Bluesky iDirect Satellite?

Hi Folks,
I'm trying to get a decent internet connection set up in my south african office. I've heard the copper network is quite unreliable so I'm looking at the Bluesky Satellite service. Has anyone used this service and if so, how did you find it?

i've worked with telkom's spacestream express (using VSTA) and spacestream office.

they use this unit on the spacestream express:

i must say - its VERY expensive - its VERY slow - you get TONS of packet loss in PEAK times...and u HAVE to sign a contract.

how Bluesky Satellite is going to provide a "better" service than them using basically the same "infrastructure" - that i don't know.

i'd try 4meg ADSL locally - its not that bad - if you have coverage and availibility.

3g/hsdpa is good alternative aswell!

Dude, Satellite has extremely bad latency and you should only consider it if there's no other option.
