BlueToad, Inc. is a digital edition publishing company which provides distribution of publications in a digital format.
Types of publications include magazines, catalogs, brochures, newspapers, books, and more, which are all viewable online from Macintosh, Linux, or Windows-based computers. BlueToad also offers services to deliver content through Apple iPad and iPhone Apps. Android Apps are in development as of February 2011.
BlueToad, Inc. was founded in 2007 and is based in Orlando, FL. The original founders are Brad Wriedt and Paul DeHart.
The company currently works with over 5,000 publishers which have more than 10,000 titles. BlueToad, Inc. is currently producing more than 2,000 digital editions per month. Towards the end of 2010, BlueToad, Inc. announced publishing their 50,000th digital edition issue since the company began.
In April 2010, BlueToad started offering Apple iPad and Apple iPhone Apps as part of their content distribution services. As of February 2011 they have 250+ approved apps in the iTunes App Store. Publishers like Modern Luxury now have multiple iPad Apps such as CS Magazine, DC Magazine, Rivera Magazine, Rivera San Diego Magazine, The Atlantan Magazine, Hawai'i Magazine, Modern Luxury Dallas, Houston Magazine, and Angeleno.
